EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES
At the ETHA, we promote the assessment and utilization of educational materials to establish a solid comprehension of thrombosis and hemostasis. This will equip individuals with precise knowledge about these conditions and their implications on public health.
THROMBOSIS AND HEMOSTASIS RESOURCES
Thrombosis and hemostasis are medical terms that describe the body's ability to form blood clots to stop bleeding, and then dissolve the clots when they are no longer needed. While these processes are critical for healing injuries and preventing blood loss, they can also become a serious health risk when they occur inappropriately or excessively.

Despite the importance of these conditions, many people may not be aware of the risks, signs, and symptoms of thrombosis and hemostasis, unless they work in the medical field. This is why the European Thrombosis and Haemostasis Alliance (ETHA) places great emphasis on educating a wide range of audiences about these topics.

The ETHA believes that education is key to promoting awareness and understanding of thrombosis and hemostasis, and to help prevent serious health consequences associated with these conditions. By engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), MEP staff, partner organizations, patients, the media, and others, the ETHA aims to raise awareness of these topics and their impact on the lives of people throughout the EU.

Moreover, the ETHA recognizes that thrombosis and hemostasis are not isolated health issues, but rather, they are often interconnected with other medical conditions and health priorities. For instance, thrombosis is a well-established risk factor for cardiovascular disease, stroke, and cancer. Hemostatic disorders may also impact surgery outcomes, patient safety, and women's health. Therefore, the ETHA strives to educate its audiences about the connections between thrombosis and hemostasis and a wide range of other health issues, which are relevant to the missions of the European Parliament.
